What a fun baby we have now! Rolling over, jabbering all the time!
We are officially done with the sleep apnea machine. Long-story short – the thing never really alarmed, not for any real reason anyway and when the ENT doc looked in Braylon’s nose and throat with the scope everything looked normal. So, he doesn’t believe there is anything real serious going on with the snoring or gasping issue and we tend to agree. So we’re done with the ENT specialist. (Thank goodness, after making Braylon not eat 2 hours before the appointment and then waiting for an hour before we saw the doc we had a very unhappy baby – I’ll be fine if we never go back to that office again.)
Braylon started rolling over last weekend, both ways! Now he is a pro-flip flopping all over the place. Sometimes when he’s tired he’ll get stuck on his belly and get really mad, but most of the time he does really well. He’s just super cute now.
I think he has started teething. We’re giving him a teether and baby Orajel a little bit. Or maybe he’s just gassy so we’ve tried Mylicon drops. Or maybe he’s getting hungrier, or…. Most frustrating part of having a baby – who knows what they really want?! I asked the doctor about starting cereal now rather than waiting until his four month visit in a couple weeks. The nurse asked me to wait. She can say that, she’s not listening to him scream every evening. The little guy will only take about 5 oz at a time but he’s getting hungry sooner than he had been. Try to give him 6 oz and he’ll stop at 5 nearly every time. What’s a Mom to do? I guess feed my child more often.
We have now had Braylon’s 3 month pictures taken at a professional photo place. I had a card for a free growth composite and free sitting for each age from my doctor. It’s a great way for this place to get business I’m sure. The pictures are amazing!!! We also did pics of the baby with Josh and I, and then all 3 of us together. It is unbelievable expensive!! But of course, how can I resist those beautiful baby pics – he’ll only be 3 months old once, right?! Mom and I also did Braylon’s hand prints and foot prints recently for his baby book and a wall hanging. I thought they did that in the hospital, apparently not anymore. So it’s taken us until he was 3 months old to find a kit and get it done. That was an adventure! It went better than expected and we didn’t end up with the ink all over us!
Next week we are taking the little guy to the beach! We’re going on vacation with Mom and Dad. Can’t wait for the break and a whole week to spend with my baby! Mom and Dad will be a huge help and I’m sure they’re excited to spend so much time with him!
